It was the first time we were going to France. Usually on long trips and reaching new places, I put the navigator on the motorcycle's dashboard, as is usual; that time, however, my friend with whom I was to make the trip had learned about the PAG, a travel backpack designed especially for couple travelers. The special feature that struck me, besides a good capacity, was the fact that you could put your phone in a transparent pocket, so that the passenger could act as navigator while I could concentrate on riding.
He was immediately helpful to us. We had been crossing the Italian border for several hours now. Many people know how the highway that runs along the southern French coast can be as fascinating as it is long. Had it not been for PAG, we would have missed the Avignon exit and had to go to Nimes and add an hour of travel time to the 8 hours we had behind us. So not only did I travel without having to look at the navigator every 5 seconds, but my passenger took an active role in the journey. This allowed us a division of labor and a consequent saving of energy, which we invested in a magnificent evening on the banks of the Rhone.
